Carlos Llamosa returns for his second season as an Assistant Coach for Chivas USA. The Colombian-born Llamosa most recently appeared on the USL radar in August of 2009, when he led the Chivas USL Super-20 League side to a berth in the USL Super-20 League North American Finals.

S20 MVP/PDL Stars Get 1st Team Shot

"We are excited to identify two players capable of playing with the first team from our open tryout," said Fire Senior Manager of Player Development, Paul Cadwell. "We were obviously aware of both players coming into the tryout. Now that they have been given a chance, the onus is on them to grab it."

Reading's Adam Gazda Discusses His Future

"I want to play at the highest possible level," said Gazda. "I will chase the game for a few years no matter where I end up starting from. I’ll continue to do that until I reach the point where I am not learning or growing as a player. "[Pittsburgh is] a team I grew up watching since I was a little kid. I am aiming as high as possible but if that’s where I start out, then I’d be all for playing for my hometown team."

Remaining PDL schedule unveiled

United Soccer Leagues released the 2010 Premier Development League schedules for the Central and Southern Conferences. The PDL, the top men’s developmental league in North America, opens its 17th season of play in the north central region of the country on May 7 in Denver and its 22nd season of play in the south, the league’s birthplace, on April 30 in Laredo. Also unveiled was the 2010 PDL playoff format.

2010 USL Showcase Kicks Off

"The USL Men’s Player Showcase is a tremendous opportunity for any aspiring player," said Spooner. "I am excited to be a part of it this year. It is a fine line between success and failure in this game and the combine gives players an opportunity to come together at one time, test themselves against the best the league has to offer, and to put themselves in the shop window for the USL clubs. If I can be a part of helping players get to the next level – that is what I want to do."

“I am really excited to bring in such a great recruiting class,” said head coach, Chris Watkins. “Coach Sackett, our recruiting coordinator, has done a great job of identifying and securing this group. To be competitive in our league it is increasingly important to bring in the very best student athletes we can attract. I expect this group to be a big part of an exciting future for BYU soccer.”
