RICHMOND, VA – The Richmond Kickers Future (Premier Development League) and Richmond Kickers Destiny (W-League) are pleased to recognize several players on their respective 2007 squads who earned collegiate and national honors this year.

Price Thomas, a 2007 member of the Richmond Kickers Future (PDL) and former Richmond Kickers Super Y-League player, was named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) First Team for his tremendous sophomore season as a striker for the College of William & Mary. While with the Future in 2007, the Charlottesville native notched two goals and one assist, appearing in seven games. His success on the PDL field carried straight into the college season, as he started 20 games for the William & Mary Tribe, tallying seven goals and three assists.

Thomas is one of many Future players who had successful seasons for their respective college programs. Roger Bothe, a teammate of Thomas’s for William & Mary, the Future and the Kickers’ Super Y-League, proved to be a stalwart for the William & Mary defense, starting and playing in 20 games while scoring one goal. Bothe’s childhood neighbor, Jordan Evans, was a constant contributor for the Richmond Spiders’ men’s soccer team as he played in 16 games and scored one goal and an assist. Other former Super Y-League and Richmond Kickers Future players who made an impact for their college teams include Abe Chenathara (Senior, UNC Chapel Hill), Scott Robertson (Sophomore, Navy), Adam Roscioli (Freshman, Old Dominion University), Ian Stowe (Freshman, William & Mary) and Jake Van Yahres (Sophomore, American University).

Several 2007 Future players earned all conference accolades for their outstanding performance during the 2007 college season. Along with Price Thomas’s first team All-CAA selection, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) defender Dirk Dittrich earned second team All-CAA honors, while his teammate, Pat Viray, was selected to the All-CAA third team. Future goalkeeper and University of Richmond standout, Eric Sciocchetti, received Atlantic 10 conference second team honors in addition to a selection to the Academic All-Conference team. Jeremy Barlow, a 2006 and 2007 member of the Richmond Kickers Future, was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Second Team for his play at the University of Virginia while 2007 newcomer to the Future, Jason Powell, earned second team honors for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC).
