TACOMA, WA -- The Tacoma Tide has refreshed the face of their organization. A new logo has been unveiled and will be used for everything that is Tacoma Tide soccer. The Tide is very pleased with the new bold crest that displays the combination of their two identities.

The first season in existence the Tacoma side was known as Tacoma FC. With the second season came a nickname and thus the Tacoma Tide was reborn. Now, with the complete name in tact, the Tacoma Tide Football Club is displayed with pride.

The new logo was revised numerous times with a wide range of ideas. In the end, this logo was chosen for its strong and classic style. The logo, developed and designed beautifully by Tangney & Tangney, sets a sharp combination of yellow and blue, the club’s trademark colors.

A late addition for the 2006 season, the club posted a 4-8-4 record, but improved to finish second in the Northwest Division in 2007 with a mark of 10-4-2 to advance to the postseason. Star player Ciaren O'Brien was selected fifth overall in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft.

Keep an eye out for this logo to emerge on Tide uniforms and merchandise. Both will soon be available on the official website, www.TacomaFC.com.
