I think the guys will put together a successful and exciting season.”

MAY 3 RECAP
Thanks to three goals in the first ten minutes, the Menace cruised to a 6-1 win over Imperio in front of 2,390 fans in their first game at Valley Stadium. Marco Cherisma scored an unassisted goal in the game’s first minute to kick off the scoring. Joe Klosterman, back for his third season, found the net in the third minute on an assist from Tomas Boltnar, another familiar face. The Menace jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the eighth minute when Tucker Sindlinger scored, assisted by Cherisma. The Menace’s other goals came on unassisted scores from Cherisma (18th minute) and Boltnar (50th minute), and a tally by Nedim Hasnabegovic (71 minute) assisted by Mike Noonan. Imperio’s lone goal came in stoppage time when Eduardo Escobedo put the 2007 Des Moines International League champions on the board.
VALLEY STADIUM
The Menace will call Valley Stadium in West Des Moines home this season. The stadium will provide players with a regulation-sized field and a turf playing surface, which will help speed up the game. "It is a great stadium and should be a great atmosphere and allow us to play some exciting soccer,” said Menace veteran Joe Klosterman.
CONCESSIONS
Another new feature at Menace games will be a revamped concession menu including new grilled items. Mike Linn, the concessionaire from Valley, has put together a menu with quality products which will feature premium sandwiches from the grill like chicken fillet, boneless BBQ rib and Italian sausage.
