USL News Release
Monday, June 09, 2008 TAMPA – On Sunday, May 25 Orange County forward Bryan Burke supplied United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League with the biggest firework-goal of the month of May and the first ever tally to be named PDL Goal of the Month, a feature on USLSoccer.com that will run through the reminder of the PDL season.

In an already engaging matchup, Burke’s goal in the 72nd minute cut Fresno’s lead to 3-2. The Blue Star would later draw even with the defending Western Conference Champions on a Patrick Marion goal in the 84th but the Fuego escaped with a 4-3 win off a Pablo Campos strike in the 90th.
Campos is the defending PDL Most Valuable Player on a Southwest Division leading Fuego team that is 5-2-2 after seven weeks of PDL action.
Burke, who came on as a second-half substitute in the Blue Star’s impressive effort, has played in six of the eight matches Orange County has competed in this season. He has totaled 244 minutes and five shots in that time. The goal was his first of the season.
