TAMPA – Hindsight being clearer than an HDTV, it’s now easy to see that the Tacoma Tide and, more importantly midfielder Chase Tangney, played one of their best matches of the Premier Development League season against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, June 7.

On the seventh, in the seventh minute, Tangney struck for one of his two goals on the night and simultaneously set the Tide ablaze against a tough divisional opponent. The match ended 4-0 in favor of the Tide, a margin of victory Vancouver retuned on them in their rematch (5-1) on Saturday, June 28 – but no goal in that subsequent game was worthy of Tangney’s – the second-ever PDL Goal of the Month.

Celebrating one of the smoothest goals of his life, “Tangney did not stop running until his entire team caught up to him in a mass celebration,” states Tacoma’s Press Release the following day.

“It was the type of goal you would like to see again and again from every angle possible.” Now you can [+]
