The Jersey Express have announced a series of three tryouts, both set to be held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, N.J. The first tryout is set for Sunday, November 25 from noon to 3 p.m., with the second being held on Saturday, December 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the third on Sunday, December 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The tryouts are limited to 50 players on a first come first serve basis. The Express received overwhelming amount of online applications, and we urge all players to come early to reserve a spot for trial. The Express' Head Coach (TBA) and staff members will be in attendance to evaluate all participants.

The fee to attend tryouts is $35, and in addition to the Express coaching staff, professional coaches from other teams will be assessing players attending the tryouts. Players must register online by Saturday, November 24 in order to attend tryouts.

The Jersey Express finished third in the PDL's Mid Atlantic Division this past summer, reaching the league's playoffs, and have seen numerous players move into the professional ranks. Earlier this year, 2011 PDL Goalkeeper of the Year Ryan Meara was selected in the MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls, joining the Columbus Crew's Dilly Duka in the top flight of North American soccer.
