TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues announced Thursday the All-League and All-Conference Teams for the Premier Development League 2006 season as voted on by the league’s coaches and general managers.

Ten different clubs had a representative on the PDL All-League Team with the 14-0-2 regular season champion Carolina Dynamo as the lone team with two players honored.

The PDL Championship is scheduled for this Saturday, August 12 with the Michigan Bucks visiting the Laredo Heat at 9:35 ET. The game will be broadcast at 11:30 pm ET on Fox Soccer Channel following the Real Madrid friendly versus Real Salt Lake.

Reed captured the Goalkeeper of the Year honor for a league-low goals against average of 0.62 this season. Headed into his senior season at UCLA, the three-year Bruin starter helped guide the Southern California Seahorses to the regular season division title for the first time, posting a record of 12-3-0 over the course of his 15 games played in his third year with the club. Reed has improved each year, going 6-6-2 in 14 games for a GAA of 2.46 in his first season to a mark of 9-3-1 in 13 games with a GAA of 1.10 in his second year with the Seahorses.

Telesford helped lead the Dynamo to an unbeaten 14-0-2 record, capturing the regular season championship. He saw action in 12 games this season for the Dynamo, helping lead the side to the third-lowest goals allowed total with only 12 given up in 16 games. He also contributed one goal on the offensive end.

Horst helped lead the expansion side to the Mid Atlantic Division championship with a 10-5-1 record on the season. The team allowed only 19 goals on the season with Horst seeing action in 14 games and providing one goal.

A club usually known for its offensive prowess, the Crusaders finished with the second-lowest goals allowed total of 10, one more than league-leading Southern California. Mitchinson played in 12 games for the Crusaders and, like his colleagues, scored one goal on the season.

West led his side in scoring with 14 goals and four assists in 15 games to guide the Academics to the Southeast Division title with a record of 11-4-1. He ranked fourth in the league in points and goals.

Current PDL finalist Michigan Bucks midfielder Nate Jafta got off to an excellent start in his PDL career by finishing the season as the Assist Leader in his first campaign, netting 11 over the course of the season. Heading into his second season at Lindsey Wilson College, the South African scored seven goals and had three assists as a freshman last year before joining one of the perennial powerhouses in the PDL.

Boltnar has basically become an automatic selection for All-League and a contender for the league Most Valuable Player honor. The two-time winner of the MVP award had another stellar season leading the defending champions back to the playoffs despite difficult competition, registering seven goals and eight assists to lead the team in scoring. He also ranked tied for second in the league assist table behind Jafta.

The BYU Cougars nearly captured their first division title, but settled for their first playoff appearance courtesy of Trejo. He helped guide the team to the postseason with a team-leading seven goals on the season, playing in all 16 matches.

Forward – John Cunliffe (Boulder Rapids Reserve)
Boulder Rapids Reserve forward John Cunliffe took the league’s Scoring Championship honor with 41 points on the season from 18 goals and five assists. The English striker from Fort Lewis College has seen tremendous success through three years of college play but had his breakout year in the PDL this season after registering just two goals and four assists last year in six games with Boulder.

Moojen finished tied with Cunliffe for the Goal Scoring Championship with their league-leading 18 goals this season. He also finished tied for the Goal Scoring Championship last season with 18 goals while also claiming the Scoring Championship with 43 points while playing for the Cocoa Expos. This year, he notched his 18 in 15 games along with three assists.

Patterson finished the season third in points and goals in the league with 33 points and 15 goals in 14 matches played, guiding the Dynamo to the fourth-best goal scoring total in the league, which proved the difference in the goal differential tiebreaker for the regular season title.

The All-Conference Teams are listed below. The award winners for Defender of the Year, Coach of the Year, U19 Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player will be announced Friday.
