Piranhas Head North To Williamsburg

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA – The PDL Piranhas will head north on I-64 Saturday night, to James City County Stadium in Williamsburg to take on the Virginia Legacy. Both teams are looking for their first wins of the new season.

The Piranhas (0-1-0) lost a heartbreaker in stoppage time on May 10, giving up a lone goal in the 91st minute to drop their season opener to Northern Virginia 1-0. The Legacy (0-2-0) played their first two matches of 2008 on the road, losing to Long Island 5-1 on May 10 and to Westchester 2-0 on May 11. Antonio Harley scored against Long Island for the Legacy. Saturday will be the Legacy’s home opener.

The PDL Piranhas will then travel to Reading on Wednesday, May 21st. Reading opens their season May 16 at Cape Cod and plays again on May 18 hosting Vermont.

The Red and Black will return home on Friday, May 23, at 8 p.m. hosting Fredericksburg in the second half of a double header with the W-League side. Kick off for the women’s game is at 5:30 p.m. at Foster Field at Virginia Wesleyan College.
