28 PDL players have impact on young 2008 college season

KANSAS CITY – Two weeks into the college soccer season, players with KC Brass (PDL) experience have already been making an impact for their college programs. The KC Brass are represented in various conferences around the country including: Atlantic 10 (NCAA I), Big East (NCAA I), Big Ten (NCAA I), Horizon League (NCAA I), Ivy League (NCAA I), Missouri Valley Conference (NCAA I), Pac-10 (NCAA I), Southern Conference (NCAA I), Summit Conference (NCAA I), Great Lakes Valley Conference (NCAA II) Heart of America Athletic Conference (NAIA) and Sooner Athletic Conference (NAIA).

Brant Bishop, (Jr, Stanford): Started all three games in midfield for Bret Simon’s Stanford Cardinal.

Calvin Clark (Jr, Drake): Defender has started all three of his games played for Sean Holmes’ undefeated and unscored on Drake Bulldogs. 

Michael Clayton (So, Butler): Has one assist for Kelly Findley’s Butler Bulldogs.

Levi Coleman (Sr, UMKC): Has two goals and one assist in three games for Rick Benben’s UMKC Kangaroos. Also scored in preseason exhibition vs KC Wizards (MLS) Reserves.

Michael Erwood (Jr, Furman): Defender has started every game for Doug Allison’s Furman Paladin.  

Michael Ferguson (Jr, Loyola Chicago): Has one goal and one assist in four games for Brendan Eitz’s undefeated Loyola Chicago Ramblers. 2008 Hermann Trophy Watch List.

Andy Fitzpatrick (So, Oklahoma City): Goalkeeper has started every game and played every minute for Brian Harvey’s OCU Stars.

Luke Gorczyca (Jr, Drake): Midfielder named Drake Invitational MVP and Missouri State All Tournament Team for Sean Holmes’ undefeated Drake Bulldogs.

Garret Guthrie (Sr, UMKC): Has two goals in four games for Rick Benben’s UMKC Kangaroos.

Ryan Hennessy (Jr, Missouri State): Has started every game for John Leamey’s Missouri State Bears.

Matt Klaus (Sr, Graceland): Has one assist in three games for Angel Monroy’s Graceland University Yellowjackets.

Haggai Leboo (Jr, Rockhurst): Has six shots in two games for Tony Tocco’s undefeated Rockhurst University Hawks.

Matt McDevitt (Fr, William Jewell): Started every game recording one assist in three games for Chris Cissell’s WJC Cardinals. 

Peter O’Neill (Fr, Northwestern): Freshman midfielder has seen regular action for Tim Lenahan’s Northwestern Wildcats.

Keith Parkhurst (Jr, Benedictine College): Has three goals and one assist for Rob Herringer’s Benedictine Ravens. 

Bryan Perez (Jr, UMKC): Has three goals and one assist in four games for Rick Benben’s UMKC Kangaroos.

Jordan Raybould (Jr, Yale): Scored game winning goal in Yale’s only game so far this season for Brian Tompkin’s Bulldogs.

Lucas Rodriguez (Sr, MidAmerica Nazarene): Has one assist in three games for Kevin Wardlaw’s MidAmerica Nazarene Pioneers.

Miguel Rodriguez (Sr, UMKC): Has two assists in four games for Rick Benben’s UMKC Kangaroos.

Kevin Shrout (Jr, Drake): Named All Tournament Team at Drake Invitational for Sean Holmes’ undefeated Drake Bulldogs.

Jimmy Simon (Fr, Rutgers): Freshman defender has one goal in three games for Bob Raesso’s Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Adam Sokolowski (Sr, Xavier): Goalkeeper has played every minute recording 15 saves for Dave Schureck’s Xavier Musketeers.

Eric Sweetin (Sr, St. Louis): Midfielder has started every game for Dan Donigan’s Saint Louis University Bilikins. 2008 Hermann Trophy Watch List.

Michael Thomas (Jr, Notre Dame): Midfielder has two goals in four games for Bobby Clark’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Manny Tovar (Jr, William Jewell): Has one assist in three games for Chris Cissell’s WJC Cardinals.

Garrett Webb (Jr, Drake): Has two goals and two assists in four games and earned Missouri State All Tournament Team for Sean Holmes’ undefeated Drake Bulldogs.

Austin Williams (Sr, William Jewell): Has one goal and one assist in three games for Chris Cissell’s WJC Cardinals.

Brian Wurst (Jr, Drake): Started all four games on defense for Sean Holmes’ undefeated and unscored on Drake Bulldogs.
