John Gilkerson was a four year starter for John Handley High School in Winchester Virginia. In high school Gilkerson was named to the Virginia All-State High School Team. Gilkerson is currently attending Winthrop University where he has been a two year starter and recieved an All-Big South Selection for the 2005 season.
